Between the Sessions: Designing Practice Into Your Curriculum
A live, one-hour session on designing the practice, feedback and reinforcement that help learners change how they show up.
- Thursday, October 15, 2026
- 12–1pm ET
- Online, on Zoom
Knowing what good looks like isn’t the same as doing it. For learners to really change how they behave, they need repetition, feedback and reinforcement, and most of that has to happen outside the classroom or training room. Rachel Rubenstein, who teaches leadership communication at Columbia Business School, will share how she uses technology to extend her in-person teaching, and what it takes to design practice that sticks.

- A practice design you can reuse. How she structures practice across a course, from the first attempt to the final assessment.
- Practice learners actually complete. The cadence, stakes and feedback that make practice feel worth doing.
- How to use what practice shows you. What she looks at to coach individual learners and adjust her teaching.
- What’s new in Virtual Sapiens. A walk through the most recent platform updates.
- Your questions, answered live. Bring your own course or program; we’ll leave plenty of time for discussion.
Who it’s for: faculty, coaches, trainers and L&D leaders: anyone helping learners build skills they have to practice to master, whether or not you use Virtual Sapiens today.
